Irwin Yablans can be credited for setting Halloween
on the scariest of nights, October 31st. Originally
Called "The Babysitter Killer" Halloween was then
renamed to it's current famed title because Irwin
thought it sounded Scarier. It was Mr. Yablans who
came up with the premise for the Halloween movie.
He returned for Halloween II and III, and at one point
was attached to Halloween 6. His worked continued
in the horror genre with Hell Night and Fade to Black.
He was involved in founding Media Home
Entertainment, which became a leading home video
company in the 80's. Today, he raises horses on his
ranch in California.
